Florence & The Machine announce plans to play Norway’s Oya Festival

Florence Welch and band will play Norway's Oya Festival alongside Caribou and Flying Lotus

Florence And The Machine have made one of their first 2015 live show announcements.

Florence Welch and her band will appear at Norway’s Oya Festival alongside Caribou, Flying Lotus, Foxygen, Run The Jewels, Future Islands, Father John Misty and more. The event takes place in Oslo’s Tøyenparken from August 11-15.

Florence And The Machine’s last headline concert was at Los Angeles’ Hollywood Bowl in October 2012. Welch made her return to the stage this summer, playing two songs at The Other Ball, a Mark Ronson-hosted fundraiser for the Arms Around The Child in London, and she also appeared at Neil Young’s Bridge School Benefit in California this autumn.

Earlier this year Welch confirmed that she was working on a third Florence And The Machine album. She released her acclaimed debut album ‘Lungs’ in 2009 and its follow-up ‘Ceremonials’ in 2011. She will also be playing Super Bock Super Rock in Portugal, Rock Werchter in Belgium, Way Out West in Sweden, and Hurricane and Southside festivals in Germany next summer.

Tickets for the five day long Oya Festival cost £225 or £77 for a one day pass. For more details on tickets click here.
