US charity gig marks the band's second live appearance of the year
It was Florence Welch’s first US show since November 2013 and her first live appearance this year since a sole festival date at Poland’s Orange Warsaw Festival in June.
Beneath you can watch fan-shot footage of Welch performing an acoustic rendition of ‘Dog Days Are Over’ on Saturday (October 25), with more clips available on Youtube.
The concert also saw the likes of Band Of Horses, Norah Jones and Tom Jones perform live, with Pearl Jam and Soundgarden reuniting their supergroup Temple Of The Dog for the event.
Last year’s benefit show included guests Arcade Fire, Jack Johnson, Jim James, Elvis Costello, Jenny Lewis, Queens Of The Stone Age and Crosby, Stills and Nash.
Florence Welch previously confirmed that she is working on the third Florence And The The Machine album.
Speaking at The Other Ball in central London earlier this year Welch told NME that she would not be performing any new material on the evening “because it’s not ready yet!” When asked if there was new material she smiled and confirmed: “Yeah. Yeah there is.”
