Foals preview new album at intimate Mercury Prize Session

Plus The Temper Trap 'survive the volcano' to kick off UK tour

Foals previewed songs from their new album at a Barclaycard Mercury Prize Session in London last night (April 26).

The group played new tracks ‘Blue Blood’ and ‘Spanish Sahara’ from their second album ‘Total Life Forever’, which is released on May 10.

They also played songs from their debut during the show at The Hospital Club venue, including the likes of ‘Red Socks Pugie’ and ‘Two Steps Twice’.

Foals were followed by The Temper Trap, who took to the stage just hours after landing in the UK as their flight was affected by the volcanic ash delays.

The band told the audience they had “survived the volcano” before playing fan favourites from their debut album ‘Conditions’.
