Oxford band speak about their on tour recreational habits
Foals have revealed that they believe they have a collective problem with booze.
Speaking to NME backstage at Latitude Festival at the weekend, in a video which you can see at the top of the page, when asked about a previous comment where they admitted they had “liver failure” on tour, guitarist Jimmy Smith and singer Yannis Philippakis ‘fessed up about their on-tour drinking.
Philippakis turned to the guitarist and said: “I mean you have a drinking problem.”
Smith then said: “We all have healthy drinking problems. Some of us have other problems on top of the drinking problem.
Philippakis added: “I have other problems on top of the drinking problem.”
The band, who said their appearance at the weekend was their last UK gig to promote second album ‘Total Life Forever’, have previously said that they want their next album to be “filthy” and that they intend to begin work on the album at the end of this summer.
