NEW LOU FOR YOU

Spare-time project has all the makings of a modern classic...

Folk Implosion, fronted by Sebadoh‘s Lou Barlow, release their third studio album ‘One Party Lullaby’ through Domino on October 18.

Already being hailed in some quarters as one of the best albums of the year, the album was recorded over a two year period using occasional studio time between Sebadoh tours and employing unconventional techniques. Lou Barlow put his ideas down on an Optigan, (a sort of toy keyboard/proto sampler which Mattel made in the early 70’s) with samples taken from diverse sources including Serge Gainsbourg‘s ‘Requiem Pour Un C’, which is called ‘Serge’ on the album.

There’s a huge article on the recording of the album and MP3 files of the demos at the [url=]Folk Implosion website at http://www.folkimplosion.com
