Foo Fighters turn Chilean crowd’s chants of ‘Ole Ole Ole’ into brand new song

Dave Grohl tells crowd: "OK, we got a new Foo Fighters song"

Foo Fighters played a one-off, impromptu song inspired by the crowd’s chants at a show Pista Atlética Estadio Nacional, Santiago, Chile on January 15.

Faced with a crowd singing ‘Ole ole ole! Chile! Chile!’, frontman Dave Grohl begun playing a riff and singing along.

The moment – captured below – followed Grohl telling the crowd, “So here’s the sing, you guys sing every song before I even sing it. Nobody else in the world does that, I think that’s some Chilean shit, I don’t know what that is.”

At that point, the crowd began their chant. After playing along, Grohl told them, “OK, we got a new Foo Fighters song.”

Foo Fighters’ world tour comes to the UK and Ireland in March, with support from Iggy Pop and Royal Blood.

Foo Fighters play:

Sunderland Stadium Of Light (May 25)
Manchester Emirates Old Trafford (27)
Ireland Slane Castle (May 30)
London Wembley Stadium (June 19, 20)
Edinburgh Murrayfield Stadium (23)

Foo Fighters released their latest album, ‘Sonic Highways’, in November.
