Foo Fighters have hinted at three intimate UK club shows this week ahead of their performance at London’s Invictus Games’ closing ceremony.
Taking to Twitter, the band posted a picture of a UK plug socket along with the line “Sure missed you…now, let’s do 3 club gigs this week…”

This follows a previous tweet where the group suggested further UK shows. Tweeting on Friday (September 5) and referring to a picture of Michael Jackson and Freddie Mercury on their drum kit, they wrote, “Michael and Freddy think it would be a shame to just do one show while we’re in the UK…”
Foo Fighters are in the UK to headline the closing ceremony of London’s Invictus Games. The event will be held at the Queen Elizabeth Park this Sunday (September 14) and will also feature performances from Kaiser Chiefs, Ryan Adams, Ellie Goulding, Rizzle Kicks,The Vamps, Diversity, James Blunt and the Military Wives Choir.
Foo Fighters, meanwhile, recently announced details of their eigth studio album ‘Sonic Highways’.
The LP will be released on November 10 and is formed of eight tracks written during visits to eight different cities.
The vinyl release of ‘Sonic Highways’ will come with an assortment of nine different covers including eight variants each themed for one of the cities in which the album was recorded: Austin, Chicago, Los Angeles, Nashville, New Orleans, New York, Seattle, and Washington, DC. Customers will receive one of the nine covers at random.
