Beck, Eddie Vedder and Tenacious D team up for tsunami victims…

FOO FIGHTERS’ DAVE GROHL and Tenacious D’s JOSH HOMME were amongst the stars who joined a supergroup with Byrds last night (January 17) at a benefit show for the victims of the Asian tsunami.

Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder and Beck also swelled the superstar line-up for the grand finale of the gig at Los Angeles’ Wiltern Theatre.

Comedian Will Ferrell introduced the show, which culminated in the super-group – Monster Jam – tearing through a medley of The Chamber Brothers, [/a] and Led Zeppelin songs.

The show also featured solo sets from Homme, Grohl, Beck, and Vedder, an appearance from Chris Rock as well as a full length [a] performance.

The show was organised by the new collective Music For Relief with all proceeds going to the American Red Cross.
