Foo Fighters are to play a one off warm-up show before their appearances at the CARLING WEEKEND and GLASGOW GREEN FESTIVALS, nme.com can reveal.

The show is scheduled to take place at the London Stratford Rex on August 24, the night before they play main stage at the Reading leg of the Carling Weekend Festival on August 25. The band then go on to play the Glasgow Green Festival (26), before finishing with the second leg of the Carling Weekend in Leeds on August 28.

An official spokesperson for the band could not confirm the show was to take place, however, tickets for gig are available now via the Ticketweb website, [url=]www.ticketweb.co.uk, priced #15.

This year’s Carling Weekend Festivals take place at Richfield Avenue, Reading and Temple Newsam, Leeds over the weekend of August 25-28. Other bands confirmed to play the festival include Oasis, Primal Scream, Pulp, Beck, Stereophonics, Placebo, Ian Brown, Embrace and Muse.

The Glasgow Green Festival In The City take place on August 25-26, and features Paul Weller, Stereophonics, Oasis, Teenage Fanclub and Primal Scream.
