Watch Foo Fighters and Brian Johnson cover AC/DC’s ‘Back In Black’ at Vax Live

Official footage from Vax Live has now been released

Foo Fighters joined forces with Brian Johnson onstage at Global Citizen’s Vax Live concert to cover AC/DC‘s ‘Back In Black’.

The Dave Grohl-led band and the AC/DC frontman recorded the performance at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles earlier this month (May 2), with the event streamed online yesterday (May 8).

The Foos played a six-song set – including classic hits ‘Everlong’, ‘All My Life’ and ‘Times Like These’ – to a crowd of 27,000 fans, many of whom were healthcare or essential workers (the venue’s usual capacity is 70,000).

Fan-shot footage was previously posted online, but official video of the special cover has now been made available. In it, Johnson is seen taking on vocal duties for the rendition of the Australian band’s 1980 hit ‘Back In Black’. The performance was held for a crowd with no social distancing in place.
