A Southampton FC fan has gone viral after raving to The Prodigy‘s ‘Firestarter’ in tribute to Keith Flint. Check out the clip below.

The frontman of the legendary rave outfit was found dead at his Essex home on Monday (March 4). It was confirmed by the group that he had taken his own life.

Now, after fans launched a campaign to get classic single ‘Firestarter’ to Number One, a football fan has been filmed busting moves to the tune during a match at St Mary’s Stadium this weekend.

With the track being played over the PA ahead of the Southampton v Tottenham fixture yesterday (March 9), the energetic attendee didn’t hold back as he channelled the spirit of Flint.

The clip soon gained traction online, with some viewers describing the man as a “legend”.

Re-tweeting the clip, one Twitter user posted: “Obviously don’t know Keith Flint but I am pretty sure he would have fucking loved this Southampton fan busting these shapes yesterday! Fucking brilliant!”

“10/10 absolute legend,” another said.

Meanwhile, former Prodigy guitarist Gizz Butt recently paid tribute to Flint by recalling the time he was asked by the frontman to join the group.

“I remember he was so down to earth with me,” he said.

Later in the interview, Butt said that his “most important memories” of Flint were of “that magic” he created onstage. He went on to say that he hadn’t seen the musician for a few years before his death, but remembered him as “a great master of pulling a disguise out of the hat.”

Elsewhere, Stereophonics have revealed that The Prodigy “very much inspired” their ‘‘Performance And Cocktails’ opening song, ‘Roll Up And Shine’.
