Former Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison is at work on an autobiography.

Yesterday (October 24), the metal giants announced UK and European live dates for 2019. The group will be playing a string of festivals, including a headline appearance at Download in June.

Ahead of the live shows and the group’s upcoming new album, the band’s former member Joey Jordison has said that he is penning his autobiography. Speaking to the Impact Metal Channel, he revealed that the project is in its early stages.

”I’ve had a couple of offers from book companies and stuff like that, and I’ve been so busy, of course, with new music projects and recording and touring that I haven’t really gotten down to it,” Jordison said.

Currently on tour with his band Sinsaenum, he said that he “can’t [write the book] on the road, because everything else takes all my time.”

He added: “But as far as the book is concerned, I already started it, to be completely honest, and it will just take some time to make sure it’s absolutely detailed. Because I can’t complete it without completing the Sinsaenum tour, because it wouldn’t make any sense.”

Sinsaenum released their latest LP ‘Repulsion for Humanity’ back in August.

Meanwhile, Corey Taylor has said that Slipknot’s next record could be the band’s most mature to date. Speaking to Resurrection Fest TV, he explained that the band currently have demoed 20 songs that are “really, really good” and are currently working on which tracks will appear on the album.
