Frank Iero has dropped a major hint to fans to suggest that they might be hearing his new solo material very soon.
The former My Chemical Romance guitarist rebranded his solo project at the beginning of the year, confirming that Frank Iero and the Future Violents is now his preferred moniker. The project had previously gone by the names frnkiero and the cellabration and Frank Iero And The Patience, with the most recent release coming under the latter in 2017 with the ‘Keep The Coffins Coming’ EP.
Asked by one fan on Twitter over the weekend about when his next batch of solo music might materialise, Iero indicated that he was currently looking at a springtime release as he wrote “spring will be here soon…” See the exchange below.

Frank Iero and the Future Violents were recently confirmed as one of the stand-out names on the bill for 2000 Trees Festival, which will take place in Cheltenham in July. You Me At Six will headline the festival.
While Iero appears to be firmly focused on his solo music, that hasn’t stopped certain fans from dreaming of a possible My Chemical Romance reunion in the near future – with the boss of the famed Warped Tour being one such fan, having admitted this week to his fruitless efforts to get the band to reform for this year’s touring festival.
