The rapper says that he doesn't think urban music is 'gay friendly'
Hip-hop artist T-Pain has said that he knows of rappers who will not work with Frank Ocean because of the R&B singer’s sexuality.
Speaking to Vlad TV – T-Pain called out the rap industry for its homophobia.
He commented: “I don’t think urban music is getting more gay friendly because if that was the case, Frank Ocean would be on a lot more songs… I know niggas that will not do a song with Frank Ocean just because he gay.” Watch the full interview below.
In 2013 Ocean also explained that he used to sell “a lot of crack and cocaine” when he was at school. In an interview with Oyster Magazine, Ocean insisted he was “never a bully” but admitted that his teenage self was less than angelic. He said: “I was a thug. I sold a lot of cocaine and crack.” Then, after being prompted to confirm what he had just said, Ocean added: “All the time.”
