TMZ has obtained the official incident report in which Ocean states that he heard someone yell the homophobic slur during the fight, but wasn’t sure who said it.
Ocean told police that Brown punched him in the face after he told him he had taken his parking space at a Los Angeles recording studio last week.
The ‘Channel Orange’ artist says he offered out his hand for Brown to shake, but Brown instead hit him in the face. Ocean alleges that two of Brown’s entourage then pushed him into a corner and tried to kick him.
The police report also states that Ocean said Brown threatened to shoot him during the fight, which he says lasted two or three minutes.
Earlier this week, Frank Ocean dropped the assault charges against Brown.
In a statement posted on Ocean’s website, he said: “As a child I thought if someone jumped me it would result in me murdering or mutilating a man. But as a man I am not a killer. I’m an artist and a modern person. I’ll choose sanity. No criminal charges. No civil lawsuit. Forgiveness, albeit difficult, is wisdom. Peace, albeit trite, is what I want in my short life. Peace.”
Brown and Ocean will compete against each other for the best urban contemporary album award at this year’s Grammys, which takes place on February 10 in Los Angeles.
