The pair performed in London's Kings Cross for the homelessness charity
The singer-songwriters teamed up at Granary Square in Kings Cross and raised over £1200 in donations taken in collection buckets, according to Bragg’s Facebook page. The pair played a number of tracks during the lunchtime stint, including takes on Simon and Garfunkel’s ‘The Sound of Silence’, country standard ‘Long Black Veil’ and The Kinks’ ‘Waterloo Sunset’. Turner also performed his own songs ‘Photosynthesis’ and ‘The Road’. Click above to watch fan-shot footage of the duo’s version of ‘The Sound of Silence’. Turner and Bragg play a special charity show for Shelter tomorrow night (December 18) at London Wilton’s Music Hall.
