Frank Turner: ‘I hate The Stone Roses’ – video

Singer also reveals he got mistaken for Edward Norton by Russian prostitutes
Frank Turner has revealed that he “hates The Stone Roses”.

Speaking in a video, which you can watch above, the singer said that despite being on the bill at T In The Park along Ian Brown and co, he has no love for them as a band.

Asked by NME what he thought was the most overrated record of all time, Turner replied: “Anything by The Stone Roses. God I hate The Stone Roses.”

Turner also said he said he wished he’d written ‘To Live Is To Fly’ by Townes Van Zandt, that Queen‘s Freddie Mercury was the greatest rock star of all time and that Black Flag frontman Henry Rollins was his hero.

He also said that he would opt for Edward Norton to him in a film of his life as he “once got mistaken for him by two Russian hookers”.

Frank Turner will play next month’s V Festival as well as the Strummer Of Love and Beautiful Days festivals.
