Frank Turner confirms Wembley Arena show will be filmed for live DVD – video

Singer also confirms he'll play be playing a 'Greatest Hits' set

Frank Turner has revealed that his largest ever headline show at London’s Wembley Arena will be filmed for a live DVD.

The singer will play the 12,000 capacity venue on April 13, with support from Billy Bragg and Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip and has said that he will be documenting the show in a DVD.

Asked about the show, Turner said: “I oscillate between pinching myself and feeling satisfied that this is the culmination of a lot of hard work and while there isn’t a wrong way to get here, I feel like I’ve got here in an honest way. I’m also sure that I will have played to over 90% of the audience in a room that holds less than 500 people.”

The singer also spoke about his plans for his setlist at Wembley and said that he plans to play his most famous material – not just tracks from his latest album.

“I’m trying to make it a ‘Greatest Hits’ set because as much ‘England Keep My Bones’ is the current album and I think it’s the best one I’ve done, this show has a ‘Holy Cow!’ factor that makes me think I need to play a selection of everything I’ve done.”

Asked about his plans for after Wembley and for new material, Turner said: “I’m doing quite a grueling tour of Canada and then after festival season I’m going to work on a new record. Then we’re going to do a four-week tour of the UK and we’re going to play everywhere.”
