The band line up an Epic contract...

Franz Ferdinand have signed a US licensing deal said to be worth £1.5 million.

The group have recently been in the US playing gigs. While Stateside the band met with various record labels, and have decided to sign with Epic.

A spokesperson for the band told NME.COM: “The band signed a licensing deal with Epic last week for the US. Epic will work alongside (the American arm of the band’s UK label) Domino US.”

According to tabloid reports today, the deal is worth up to £1.5 million. However, that couldn’t be confirmed as NME.COM went to press.

The group tour the UK next month, playing:
