EAMON STAYS ON TOP OF UK SINGLES CHART

There's also high entries for Franz Ferdinand and, er, Marillion...

EAMON has held on to top spot in the UK singles chart tonight (April 25) with ‘F**K IT (I DON’T WANT YOU BACK)’.

The star’s album ‘I Don’t Want You Back’ has felt te benefit too, rising from 34 to 6 this week.

Franz Ferdinand will also be celebrating after scoring their second Top Ten hit of 2004, ‘Matinee’ going in at Eight. The other new entries in the Top Ten are Maroon at Three with ‘This Love and rock veterans Marillion at Seven with ‘You’re Gone’.

Other notable new entries include The Bees at 31 with ‘Wash In The Rain’ and Goldie Lookin’ Chain at 32 with ‘Half Man Half Machine’/’Self Suicide’.

In the album charts, Guns N’ Roses ‘Greatest Hits’ and Anastacia’s eponymous LP stay at One and Two respectively, while Prince is the highest new entry at Three with ‘Musicology’.
