Friendly Fires to curate stage at Bestival

'Pala' band help shape roster for Isle Of Wight event

Members of Friendly Fires are to choose some of the acts performing at this year’s Bestival.

The indie-dance group, who released their second album ‘Pala’ earlier this year, join The La’s as the latest confirmations for the festival. The Friendly Fires curated performances will take place on the RizLab Stage on the festival’s opening day (September 9). Friendly Fires also tour the UK in November. More details about who and what Friendly Fires will be bringing to Bestival will be released next month.

Bestival takes place on September 9-11 at Robin Hill Park on the Isle Of Wight and will be headlined by The Cure, Bjork and Pendulum. This year’s fancy dress theme is ‘Rockstars, Popstars and Divas’.

Public Enemy, PJ Harvey, Odd Future, Brian Wilson, Professor Green, Kelis, The Maccabees and DJ Shadow are among the other acts who are booked to play Bestival across the weekend.
