Frightened Rabbit set to play intimate gig on London landmark

Scottish band also confirm details of third album

Frightened Rabbit will play an intimate acoustic set in a pod on the London Eye today (October 30), following the announcement of a new addition to their line-up.

The band look set to preview tracks from their third long player ‘The Winter Of Mixed Drinks’ at 5pm (GMT) in front of competition winners.

The follow-up to last year’s ‘Midnight Organ Fight’ was produced by Peter Katis, at Tarquin Studios in Connecticut along with some additional input from Stuart Hamilton at Castlesound Studios in Scotland.

“I feel it’s a classier beast than the ‘Midnight Organ Fight’,” said frontman Scott Hutchison of the new record. “We’ve broadened our horizons sonically in parts and it feels like a natural move forward. Most importantly, it’s better than the last one. That’s all I wanted, really.”

Earlier this week the band announced the addition of a new member of the band, former guitarist in Make Mode, Gordon Skene.

‘The Winter Of Mixed Drinks’ will be released on March 1, and features the following tracks:

‘Swim Until You Can’t See Land’
The Loneliness & The Scream’
‘The Wrestle’
‘Skip The Youth’
‘Nothing Like You’
‘Man/Bag Of Sand’
‘Foot Shooter’
‘Not Miserable’
‘Living In Colour’
‘Yes I Would’
