Future Of The Left announce tour despite bassist quitting

Andy Falkous' band set for June gig run

Future Of The Left have announced details of a series of new European tour dates – their first without recently-departed bassist Kelson Matthias.

Matthias‘ departure was announced on the band’s official MySpace page, Myspace.com/futureoftheleft.

Frontman Andy Falkous wrote that he was “sad, happy, annoyed and relieved” that Matthias had left – although did not reveal the reason for the line-up change.

The Cardiff band will play shows in England, Wales, France and Italy as part of their run of headline dates. Oceansize and Kong bassist Steven Hodson will be taking over bass duties for the shows. They are set to unveil a new guitarist soon.

The band are working on a new album, with songs ‘Assisted Suicide Blues’, ‘Home Taping Is Killing Susan’, ‘The Goose That Roared’, and ‘Destroywhitchurch.com’.

Future Of The Left will play:

Birmingham Rainbow (June 3)
