Gaggle have remixed and reinterpreted an opera about the history of women.
The 24-strong all-female choir band have been working on the opera, named ‘The Brilliant and The Dark’, which is based around the history of women from Middle Ages to World War II. Click below to watch an extract from their performance.
The opera was first performed in 1969 with a cast of 1,000 women volunteering at the Royal Albert Hall. The band are yet to announce if they will perform the opera in public.
Meanwhile, Gaggle are also set to debut new material – and a new percussionist – at London‘s Bush Hall on June 17. The gig is set to be their biggest headline show yet.
