Gallows dedicate song to Paris Hilton at Download Festival

Frank Carter also gives a shout out to his mum

Gallows dedicated a song to Paris Hilton during their Download Festival set today (June 9).

Carter told the crowd that the cover of Black Flag’s ’Nervous Breakdown’ was for the imprisoned heiress.

Then, before ’Six Years’ Carter got out his mobile phone and said: “This song is for someone very special… if she picks up her phone. Donington say hello to my fucking mum!”

During the track Carter also smashed all the microphone stands and threw his mic down on stage, curiously explaining “My mum means a fucking lot to me”.

Later the singer revealed that he was a Donington virgin. He said: “This is my first time at Download.” He then told the baying crowd: “You fuckers look after each other. Let’s have a fucking good time.”

The band also dedicated ’In The Belly Of A Shark’ to their manager. Carter added: “Without him we’d be playing the Pig & Whistle in Watford.”

They played:

‘Abandon Ship’

‘Come Friendly Bombs’

‘Rolling With The Punches’

‘Six Years’

‘Sick Of Feeling Sick’

‘Nervous Breakdown’

‘In The Belly Of A Shark’

‘Orchestra Of Wolves’
