The Gaslight Anthem have announced that they’ll be heading to the UK and Ireland this summer to play seminal album The 59 Sound in its entirety.
The New Jersey rockers announced their reunion earlier this month to celebrate a decade since the record was initially released.
Now, they’ve confirmed that the show will see them heading to the UK and Ireland for four shows in July. Check out the dates in full below.
- 20 – London, UK – Eventim Apollo Hammersmith (w/ The Flatliners, Matthew Ryan)
- 23 – Dublin, IR – Vicar Street (w/ The Flatliners, Matthew Ryan)
- 24 – Glasgow, UK – Barrowland (w/ The Flatliners, Matthew Ryan)
- 25 – Manchester, UK – Eventim Apollo (w/ The Flatliners, Matthew Ryan)
Tickets for the shows will go on general sale this Friday (January 2), but fans can gain access to a presale link here from January 30 – using the password 59SOUND.
Last year, Gaslight Anthem singer Brian Fallon spoke to NME about his second forthcoming solo album and how he has taken the sound in an altogether darker direction.
“I guess it was just something I was going through in my life, but you can’t really plan those things when you’re going to write”, he explained.
“You can’t but you try. You just start putting the pen down and for me, a lot of the times it’s like music is there and then I’ll just kind of start. All of a sudden a line will come out or an idea will emerge and then I’ll realise, ‘yeah, that’s good.”
