Paperchase, the mass market cards and stationery chain of shops across the country are displaying ‘Straight Dad’ posters, complete with the message ‘Straight Dad – Remember him’.
The Gay Dad logo is the brainchild of designer Peter Saville, most widely known for his work with Manchester’s Factory Records and Joy Division in particular.
A band spokesman said: “All you can do is laugh at it really. I think it’s quite funny.”
Meanwhile, Gay Dad perform a one-off free show at London’s Soho Square on June 7 to promote the release of their debut album ‘Leisurenoise’, out the same day. The gig will start at 6pm, followed by an in-store signing at the Virgin Megastore on Oxford Street at 8pm.
