George Ezra to perform on ‘Saturday Night Live’ later this month

The episode will be hosted by Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson on March 28

George Ezra has been confirmed as a musical guest on ‘Saturday Night Live’

The Bristol-bred singer released his UK Number One album ‘Wanted On Voyage’ in June 2014, later coming out in the US this past January, reaching the Number 19 spot in the process.

Now, Ezra will take to US TV’s ‘SNL’ on March 28, with the show being hosted by WWE wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. The singer-songwriter is likely to perform his breakthrough hit ‘Budapest’.

Meanwhile, George Ezra recently recruited actor Sir Ian McKellen for a cameo in his new ‘Listen To The Man’ video.

Ezra has spoken about how nervous he was to work with the actor. “It was nerve-racking trying to act beside him,” he said. “I’m not an actor, and he’s phenomenal.” Watch below.

George Ezra finished up a UK tour last month, which saw the musician play gigs at Bristol’s Colston Hall, Birmingham’s O2 Academy, the O2 Academy Brixton in London, Manchester’s O2 Apollo and finally the O2 Academy in Glasgow.
