A silent tribute is paid to the legend...
Beatles fans across the world will unite later today for a minute of meditation in memory of the late George Harrison.
George Harrison died following a long battle against cancer last week (November 29). Now, his widow Olivia and son Dhani are appealing to fans to participate in a worldwide minute of meditation at 9.30pm this evening (GMT) "in honour of George Harrison‘s journey”.
In George Harrison‘s native Liveprool, a candlelit vigil is confirmed to take place on St George’s Plateau in the city from 6pm.
As reported over the weekend on NME.COM, it is thought that George Harrison was cremated within hours of his death in LA. His ashes are set to be scattered along the sacred River Ganges in India.
The movement along the river symbolises the soul’s journey into eternal consciousness, according to BBC news.
