Last year, George Michael was taken to hospital after collapsing at home. A 999 call was made by a friend of the singer and two ambulances arrived at his north London home. They allegedly spent four hours there with the singer before taking him to hospital for further treatment.
The singer also made headlines in 2013 when he was airlifted to hospital after apparently falling from his car on the M1 motorway. An eyewitness said that Michael had fallen from his vehicle after trying to close the car door while the vehicle was in motion.
In May, Adele marked her 27th birthday by dressing up as George Michael. The British singer donned an outfit similar to that of Michael in his ‘Faith’ artwork. Adele called Michael her “hero”, posting to fans on Twitter: “Thank you for the birthday wishes I had a wonderful time! I was my hero x #gottahavefaith”.
George Michael’s most recent release was his first-ever live album, titled ‘Symphonica’, which was released in March 2014.
