Kate Nash, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly to perform before G20 protest tomorrow (April 1)

They'll join Billy Bragg to lobby world leaders in London

Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly has announced that he will be joined by Kate Nash for a breakfast performance tomorrow (April 1) before a public protest in London preceding the G20 Summit.

Sam Duckworth has invited fans to have breakfast and meet up at 8:50am GMT at Puregroove Record Shop at West Smithfields before the public march.

“As the world watches central London tomorrow, the swell of public unrest with the current climate is impossible to ignore,” Duckworth said in a statement. “Various factions are converging tomorrow to lobby the G20 and to provide a graphic reminder of how we have been let down by our world leaders and how we are failing our commitments to fighting poverty and climate change.”

The event will feature performances by Kate Nash, Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, Natty, Kieran Leonard and other artists before they join the march to the Bank of England at noon, where Billy Bragg will perform.

Duckworth added, “This is a non violent/militant event, set up as a friendly meeting point before the days forthcoming protests.”

Several world leaders including US President Barack Obama are headed to London to attend the G20 Summit on Thursday (April 2), where they will discuss issues including poverty, climate change and the world economic crisis.
