Writing%20on%20the%20official%20Get%20Cape.%20Wear%20Cape.%20Fly%20website, Duckworth states that the last ten years have been “Fun and hard”. He says he was inspired to make the decision to end the band after watching LCD Soundsystem’s final gig, immortalised in the film Shut Up and Play The Hits.

I really love making music (still) and am fit and healthy to play shows (finally). It feels like time for a change and the best way to end something great is with a party,” writes Duckworth. “I’ll be with as many band members as possible and playing songs from across the albums but to be honest, mostly the first.”

He continues: “As for the future, there is a lost Get Cape album, a solo album and tonnes more to come very soon. Please keep checking back on the website, or keep in touch through the wonder of social media. I’m looking forward to sharing the final weeks of this decade long project with you.”

Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly released their first album, ‘Tales of a Bohemian Teenager’ in 2006 and have released four albums in total. The most recent, ‘Maps’, was released in 2012.
