GLASSJAW vocalist DARYL PALUMBO
has been rushed to a LONDON hospital today (December 5) after suffering a relapse of recurring CROHN’S DISEASE.
The rising new US lords of EMO have been forced to cancel their British tour as they wait for their frontman to recover. Other European dates – in Germany, France and Italy will also be cancelled.
Palumbo was hospitalised this afternoon just as he and the rest of the band stepped off a flight from the US. His condition is unknown at present.
Although it is uncomfortable, recurring and debilitating, Crohn’s disease – which attacks the sufferers digestive system – is not life threatening. Much of Beth Orton‘s career has been blighted by the same illness.
This month’s dates were a replacement for cancellations in October, also caused by Palumbo’s illness. It is unknown whether or not they will be rescheduled.
The dates affected are:
Glasgow G2 (December 6)
Manchester Hop & Grape (7)
Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall (8)
London Astoria (9)
