Seven stages dedicated to dance music have been named
The full line-up of the seven stages that make up Glastonbury Festival’s Dance Village has been released.
As well as the East and West Dance arenas, there will be a number of new stages.
The all-new WOW! stage will be hosting acts and DJs playing cutting edge electronica, disco, house and dubstep. The stage will feature a DJ booth in the shape of a giant pineapple as well as flamingo sculptures and will host sets from Joy Orbison, DaM FunK, Jamie Jones and Kode9.
Another new stage is the outdoor venue Cubehenge, which will see DJs such as Will Saul, Norman Jay, Zero 7 and Ashley Beedle performing to a crowd surrounded by iridescent cubes lit by multi-coloured lights from the inside.
The BBC Introducing… stage will be situated in the Dance Village for the first time while the Pussy Parlure will be hosting Annie Nightingale’s Thursday night session. The Magic Bubbles area will also be returning.
