Vampire Weekend, The xx and The National also see a surge in record sales
According to the latest sales figures seen by NME, a host of new and established acts have seen a spike in record sales.
Friday night (June 25) headliners Gorillaz also saw their album sales of ‘Plastic Beach’ shoot up by 95.5 per cent, while Sunday’s Stevie Wonder set saw the singer’s ‘The Definitive Collection’ rise by 264.9 per cent.
Meanwhile, Vampire Weekend saw their second album ‘Contra’ improve their sales by 80.9 per cent compared to last week, while labelmates The xx saw their self-titled debut album increase by 112.3 per cent.
