Glastonbury organisers to hand out free toilet roll

Leave your normal supply at home

Glastonbury Festival organisers are to issue free toilet rolls to every ticket holder at this year’s festival.

Co-organiser Michael Eavis has teamed up with a manufacturer to supply recycled rolls, and he wants everyone to leave their normal supply at home.

He told BBC News: “There will be more than enough for everyone and, more importantly, it will be the right kind of loo roll.”

“The definitive example of our policy is our decision to invite Nouvelle on board as an official recycling partner to the festival, to give away free recycled toilet tissue,” he added.

The festival runs from June 22-24, and acts who have so far confirmed to play include Arctic Monkeys, The Killers, The Who, Bjork, Arcade Fire, Editors, Super Furry Animals, Kaiser Chiefs, Lily Allen, Babyshambles and The Kooks.
