Jack Peñate plays cover-laden set at Glastonbury

London singer plays Prince and Marvin Gaye songs

Jack Peñate played a set full of covers tonight (June 22) at Glastonbury.

The singer songwriter played a late-night slot on the Left Field stage and did versions of Prince’s ‘Kiss’, Marvin Gaye‘s ’I Heard It Through The Grapevine’ and Bob Dylan‘s ’I Shall Be Released’.

Due to the late time of the set – he didn’t take the stage until after 1am – Peñate told the crowd: “I’ll try and say sober as long as possible!”
