Registrations for Glastonbury tickets must be made by Midnight
Fans hoping to go to this year’s Glastonbury Festival have until midnight tonight (March 5) to have registered with event organisers.
Would be festival goers must register personal details and a passport photo of themselves to stand a chance of getting a ticket when they go on sale at 9am on April 1.
Organiser Michael Eavis said: “It’s a much fairer system. It means people who buy tickets on April 1 will be the people who actually come to the festival.”
Eavis also assured those registering that their details would be used for no other purpose than preventing the touting that has surrounded the Somerset festival in recent years.
After receiving 1,200 registrations an hour last Wednesday (February 28) organisers decided to extend registration until tonight at midnight.
Organisers have reiterated that registering only makes fans eligible to buy tickets on April 1 and registration alone does not guarantee entry to the three-day bash, which begins on June 22.
Registrations must be made by midnight at Glastonburyregistration.co.uk.
