Gnarls Barkley alter album release plans

Controversial video for 'Run' also changed

Gnarls Barkley have brought forward the release of their second album ‘The Odd Couple’.

The follow-up to 2006’s ‘St Elsewhere’ will now be released on March 31, one week earlier than originally planned.

Speaking to XFM about the new album, vocalist Cee-lo Green said: “I know we’re always so modest, but let me toot my own horn. It’s really fucking good. It’s just bigger, badder, bolder and more arena-friendly.”

As previously reported on NME.COM, the duo’s video for new single ‘Run’ has been banned from MTV UK because of its excessive use of strobe lighting. However, the band have now re-shot the video in order for the clip to be screened.
