Godspeed You Black Emperor have announced details of a new album and a handful of UK live shows for the end of the year.

The band release their new album, ‘Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven’, through Kranky/Constellation on October 9.

The double album was recorded at Chemical Sounds in Toronto, with additions made at studios in their hometown on Montreal throughout the year.

The full tracklisting for the album runs: CD1: ‘Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven’, ‘Gathering Storm’, ‘Cancer Towers On The Holy Road Hi-Way’, ‘Terrible Canyons of Static’, ‘Chart #3’, ‘World Police and Friendly Fires’, ‘The Buildings They Are Sleeping Now’.

CD 2: ‘Murray Ostril (They Don’t Sleep Anymore On The Beach)’, ‘Monhein’, ‘Broken Windows’, ‘Locks of Love Part III’, ‘Antennas To Heaven’, ‘Moya Sings Baby-O’, ‘Edgy Swingset Acid’, ‘She Dreamt She Was A Bulldozer She Dreamt She Was Alone in An Empty Field’, ‘Deathkamp Drone’, ‘Antennas To Heaven’.

In addition to the album, the band have announced details of a handful of live shows for November. The band are confirmed to play four consecutive nights at the London King’s Cross Scala (November 19-22), and in addition to the London dates, are in the process of finalising two nights at Manchester Planet K (November 23-24). However, the Manchester shows are not yet confirmed.
