Goldie Lookin Chain play ‘pay-what-you-like’ show in London

The Welsh rappers preview new album 'Asbo4Life'

Goldie Lookin Chain previewed material from their forthcoming third album at their pay-what-you-want gig in London last night (January 14).

The Welsh rappers asked fans to pay whatever they liked after the performance, with the crowd making their contribution into buckets placed at the exit to the soon-to-be demolished Metro venue in the capital’s West End.

The set saw the group play seven songs from forthcoming new album ‘Asbo4Life’, including the first single, ‘By Any Means Necessary’. Other new tracks included ‘New Day’, which steals the intro from All Saints‘ 1997 Number One ‘Never Ever’, and ‘Mister Fahrenheit’, bandmember Maggot‘s tribute to Queen‘s Freddie Mercury.

The former NME cover stars also found to roll out many of their most famous songs, including set opener ‘Half Man Half Machine’, ‘Your Missus Is A Nutter’, ‘Guns Don’t Kill People, Rappers Do’ and set closer ‘Your Mother’s Got A Penis’.
