GOMEZ, PLACEBO, EMBRACE and LUKE HAINES will have live concerts broadcast over the Internet to coincide with the release of an album celebrating ten years of HUT RECORDS.

As previously reported on NME.COM, Smashing Pumpkins, David Gray, The Verve, Embrace and Gomez are amongst the artists also featured on the compilation.

To coincide with the release of the album on July 2, a website will be launched at, and will feature broadcasts from some of the Hut artists.

Already confirmed for the first week (July 2) is Luke Haines’ performance at the London ICA. The following week (July 9) a 30-minute film of Placebo‘s Brixton Academy show will be available online. That will be followed (July 16) by Embrace‘s Abbey Road performance, and for the final week a Gomez show, recorded at the Fillmore West in America will be online.

Hut, owned by Virgin Records, was launched in 1990 by the major as an outlet for ‘alternative’ music.
