The band premiere new album 'In Our Gun' at London Scala - and play some old stuff too...

GOMEZ played their first gig in eighteen months last night (March 12) as part of the NME 5.0 shows.

The five-piece, now based in Brighton, have spent the last year recording their new album, ‘In Our Gun’, out Monday (March 18) through Hut. The gig at London’s Kings Cross Scala was a one-off show before their full UK tour starts in April.

The band mostly debuted new songs during their hour-and-a-half long set including recent single ‘Shot Shot’ and album tracks ‘Rex Kramer’, ‘Miles’ End’, ‘Detroit Swing 66’, ‘Ping One Down’, ‘Ruff Stuff’, ‘Sound Of Sounds’, ‘Drench’, ‘In Our Gun’, ‘Ballad Of Nice and Easy’ and ‘1000 Times’.

Old songs played to an enthusiastic response included debut single ’78 Stone Wobble’, ‘We Haven’t Turned Around (X-Ray)’ and an encore of ‘Whippin’ Piccadilly’.
