GORILLAZ, the cartoon hiphop concept outfit featuring DAMON ALBARN, make their live debut at LONDON SCALA this month.

Billed as “A Lo-Fi Thriller Event”, the gig takes place at the Scala on March 22 and will feature Gorillaz cartoon members 2D, Murdoc, Noodle and Russel.

Special guests confirmed for the night include Dan The Automator, who will be DJing, and a performance from reggae star Sweetie Irie. There will also be a DJ set by garage artist Ed Case, who remixed the new Gorillaz single ‘Clint Eastwood’, released through Parlophone on March 5.

The hiphop collective’s debut album features Del Tha Funkee Homosapien, Tina Frantz, Damon Albarn, Miho Hatori and Jamie Hewlett. Ibrahim Ferrer from Buena Vista Social Club provides vocals on the Latin-influenced track ‘Latin Simone’. It is not clear who will be performing with Gorillaz at the gig, but Albarn is expected to appear.
