Gorillaz cryptically tease new album with ‘The Book Of Noodle’

Can we expect their new album sooner rather than later?

Gorillaz have taken to Twitter to share a series of cryptic Tweets, teasing ‘The Book Of Noodle.

Damon Albarn’s animated band kickstarted a flurry of activity across their social media accounts last month, leading many fans to believe that the release of their album could be imminent.

Now they’re at it again – sharing the cover, pages and scenes from ‘The Book Of Noodle’, which so far tells the colourful story of the fictional band’s guitarist – picking up the adventure where they left off, after ‘Plastic Beach’:

The band’s fifth album and first since 2011’s ‘The Fall’ was originally due for release this year, but now looks set to drop net year after animator Jamie Hewlett said it was “really fuckin’ special” and “can’t be rushed”.

Back in July, Damon Albarn said: “Later in the year we’ll be starting to get the whole Gorillaz thing together. I’m loving it and it’s getting there. It should be ready fairly soon.”
