Gorky’s Zygotic Mynci follow their triumphant ALL TOMORROW’S PARTIES festival closing show last weekend with news of a mini-album and a brief UK and Ireland tour.
The Welsh seven-piece kick off the dates with a one off Dublin appearance on April 28 before a run of five shows in late May. They will then head into the studio to record a mini-album, slated for November release. It will mark their first new material since the ‘Spanish Dance Troupe’ album in October 1999.
The live shows will feature two sets, one being mostly acoustic with the band sitting down.
Gorky‘s then play several festivals this summer, including a mainstage appearance at the Carling Weekend Festival at Reading and Leeds from August 25-28. They then return to the US where they enjoyed some success on a recent tour with Grandaddy and Apples In Stereo.
The dates for the tour are as follows:
Dublin Temple Bar, (April 28), Glasgow Arts School (May 21), Leeds City Variety Theatre (22), Manchester University, MDH (23), Bristol New Trinity Centre (25), London Union Chapel (26).
