Gossip reveal details of comeback album ‘A Joyful Noise’

The Mark Ronson and Xenomania produced album will be out in May

Gossip have revealed that their first studio effort since 2009’s ‘Music For Men’ will be called ‘A Joyful Noise’.

The Beth Ditto fronted band unveiled their comeback single, which is called ‘Perfect World’, on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show earlier tonight (March 12).

The band’s fifth album will be released in May and has been produced by Brian Higgins of pop production company Xenomania and Mark Ronson.

Of working with Ronson, Ditto recently told NME: “One of our most common bonds was that we both loved big voices, church voices. He loves country music, which is a big deal to me because, you know, in terms of things I love, country music is probably number one, then it’s punk and hip-hop.”

Beth Ditto has also collaborated on a make-up line with cosmetics giant MAC. Revealing the news on Gossip‘s Facebook page, the band stated that the range will be available to buy this summer.
