Members of Polyphonic Spree, SUPER FURRY ANIMALS, Alfie, Grandaddy and TV presenter LOUIS THEROUX turned out to see Grandaddy play their biggest ever UK show at LONDON BRIXTON ACADEMY last night (December 10).

The stars were there to see the last show of the band’s ‘Sumday’ world tour. The band’s bassist Jim Fairchild acknowledged the presence of SFA frontman Gruff Rhys, saying from the stage: “I’d just like to say Super Furry Animals are the best band in the world.”

[a][/a] frontman Jason Lytle celebrated the end of the band’s last show of the year by indulging in a spot of mild equipment destruction, sending his keyboard crashing to the floor at the end of set closer ‘He’s Simple, He’s Dumb, He’s The Pilot’.
