And before that, there's still a chance to see the bearded rockers at their biggest ever UK show...

Grandaddy are to kick off 2004 with a new double A-side single.

The Californian indie rockers are to lift ‘I’m On Standby’ and ‘Stray Dog And The Chocolate Shake’ from their current LP ‘Sumday’. The single, released on January 12, is available on CD and 7″. It will be backed by brand new track ‘The Town Where I Live In Now’ and a video to ‘Fare Thee Not Well Mutineer’ shot in the band’s native Modesto.

Grandaddy recently released an expanded version of ‘Sumday’ complete with nine bonus tracks recorded live while on tour this year, including six from the group’s acclaimed set at Glastonbury.

UK fans can catch Grandaddy on the second leg of their ‘Winter Warmer’ tour next month. The jaunt includes their biggest UK show to date, at London Brixton Academy on December 10.

The full list of shows are:

Brighton Corn Exchange (December 7)

Norwich Waterfront (8)

Portsmouth Pyramid (9)

London Brixton Academy (10)
