Grandaddy are to release a new single, ‘Hewlett’s Daughter’, on August 21 through V2 Records.
The band, who recently completed a sell-out UK tour, have also announced an in-store date at the Virgin Megastore in London on August 24.
The show will be a warm-up for their appearances at theCarling Weekend Festivals at Reading on August 25 and Leeds on August 28. They also appear in a co-headline slot with Hobotalk at Edinburgh Liquid Rooms on August 29.

The single, lifted from the band’s acclaimed album ‘The Sophtware Slump’, will be backed with a demo version of ‘Chartsengrafs’, a live recording of ‘Hewlett’s Daughter’, ‘Wonder Why In LA’ and ‘Street Bunny’ across the formats.
